Une interview de Bezos

Une interview de Bezos sans commentaire ou presque. Il y a une dizaine d'années Time Magazine en avait fait l'homme de l'année, ce n'était pas une erreur.

Je suis juste un peu perplexe, et très intéressé, quant à sa réflexion sur l'écriture : "Is there a next phase where the novel gets reinvented and the new digital medium gives rise to new art forms?

I'm skeptical that the novel will be "re-invented." If you start thinking about a medical textbook or something, then, yes, I think that's ripe for reinvention. You can imagine animations of a beating heart. But I think the novel will thrive in its current form. That doesn't mean that there won't be new narrative inventions as well. There very well may be. In fact, there probably will be. But I don't think they'll displace the novel."

Pourquoi cette question (fichetrement intéressante)? La réponse, pas vraiment claire, un peu normande, est sans doute dictée par une position "technologue". Le Kindle ne sait pas faire pour le moment, et les expériences en cours n'étant pas probantes, j'y crois pas. C'est plus pour Jobs ce genre de truc. 
La question étant posée, il y a prémice. Les journalistes sont sûrement en première ligne pour aborder un nouveau type d'écriture, ça les démangent. Le Net et les types Mime y sont  pour quelque chose. Le romancier succombera aussi, son champ d'investigation élargi, il partira à la découverte de nouveaux horizons pour son lecteur. C'est le propre de l'humain de toujours allez plus loin. Il le sait Bezos.
